Homemade Tomato Soup


Ingredients~
1 tbsp. vegetable or olive oil
1 medium onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 c. diced carrots
3 1/2 c. canned tomatoes (28 oz.)
2 c. chicken or vegetable broth
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. dried basil
1/2 c. milk
salt and pepper to taste

Directions~
1. Saute onion and garlic in oil in a large pot.
2. Add carrots and cook till softened.
3. Add tomatoes, broth, Worcestershire sauce, sugar and basil. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium low and simmer for 20 minutes. Add salt and pepper.
4. Puree in blender till smooth.
