Sitting Room Re-do

This room was particularly fun because when we decided to make this space a sitting room, we went shopping throughout our own house and basement looking for things we could use. Aside from a new picture and throw, the entire room was pulled together from things we already had!

The paint we used is from Dutch Boy and is called "Dry Basil". I was so excited to find this piece of art because it pulls all of the colors from the main level of our house and really just pulls it all together nicely. It has the golds from the kitchen, the reds from the dining room and the lighter green from the living room.

This room has really become a nice place to sit with a cup of tea or read a book, or a nice place for quiet conversation.

I still have one more thing to do in here- I need to have a family portrait framed to put above the fireplace. But other than that, we are done!
