Homeschooling Benefits

As homeschoolers, we are frequently bombarded with the "negatives" associated with homeschooling. Our children won't be "socialized", what sort of education could the get without the "proper" teachers, they will be "weird" (gotta love that one!)...

So I thought I would share a few of the positives to encourage us all...

  • We love our children way more than any teacher ever possibly could
  • We can cover more in two hours than a classroom teacher can in eight (we don’t have to take roll, make announcements, stop for discipline, explain things over and over and over, etc.)
  • We know our children’s natural gifts and talents and how to work with them. Oh, yeah, and that actually MATTERS to us!!
  • Our children are not exposed to all the dysfunction from other kids’ unhappy life situations’
  • There has never been a ‘shooting’ in our school!!
  • None of our children’s “classmates” has ever come to school stoned, pregnant, etc.
  • Our children are WAY better behaved and socially skilled than their public school counterparts
I am sure there are so many more positives that could be listed here...if you can think of any, feel free to leave it in the comment section. I know I am always looking for ways to be encouraged in this area!

Hugs,
