Normally, my first reaction would be "irritated" at seeing the nice, neat bookshelf turned into a mountain of books on the floor. BUT, sometimes, as a mommy, you just have to look at things in a different light. Sure, they made a mess. Sure, all these nice books are scattered all over my kitchen floor. But, guess what? They are looking at books, AND they are really enjoying looking at books.
Even at such a young age, it is so important to foster a love for reading. These early days of looking through books, or listening as they are read to, are nurturing the desire to read.
So, while I detest a mess, I am so happy to see my little ones loving books.
