A Busy Day

This morning I went over to one of the ladies from church's houses to make two more coverings for myself. We adjusted the pleats in the back to get an even nicer fit, and I am so pleased with how they turned out.

This afternoon I have been busy reorganizing our family closet. Somehow it had become a bit of a mess! It looks much better now, and I think it will be easier to keep tidy.

I am exhausted this afternoon and I think I might sit down to read a bit in my new book. (A Virtuous Woman by Ruth Mast).

  1. I just wanted to comment about what you said. I do not know if you would go back to that post or not. Christians, that is who I had the hardest time from. Those who were not seemed curious, and nothing like the reaction of those we considered our sisters and brothers. But I believe the opposition can be used to practice what God says about loving our enemies. So very hard sometimes, but what we must do.

I am glad you have a couple more coverings. It is nice being about to have extras for when you need to clean them. One of your pictures showed the back. Very nice. :)

  2. I'm very happy for you! You look "glowing"! I've been covering since Sept 08. I'm the only one at my church covering...walking through Walmart today, I saw a woman who was covered. I was so excited, I stopped her and talked to her. She was visiting from Ohio. Oh well, guess I still haven't met another covering woman in East Texas yet! Please tell us about the book you're reading. It sounds very good! Donna

  3. I just purchased that book 'A Virtuous Woman' from Rod and Staff the other day...along with $75 of other Godly reading material. :) Should get it all today or Monday. Yippee!

Do you ever order anything from the GVS catalog? The ministers wife at my church gave me last years and I was sifting through oooing and ahhing over each page calculating what I wanted. :) Maybe I will get a few things when we get our tax return.

Hope you have a safe and blessed weekend!

  4. Donna...I am a covered woman in Texas too!!!

Except I live in the Dallas - Ft. Worth area, not the East. :-(

Oh I love it when I see another covered sister in WalMart or Target! It's such a blessing!

  5. Dawn,

Oh how wonderful! Enjoy all of your new reading material :)!

I have not ordered from GVS's catalog, but I have bought from their store in Versailles, MO. We were actually just there yesterday. They have so many of the little necessaries we need. I really like their store and will likely be ordering from their catalog in the near future.

    Blessings,
    Melly Elizabeth
